Осень все-таки очень хорошее время года,помимо атмосферной погоды,в это время любители музыки получают в достаточно большом количестве подарки от музыкантов.
И это конечно долгожданные релизы.Я как большой фанат групп с "Run For Cover",конечно же внимательно следил и ждал новостей от своих любимчиков.Когда появилась первая песня с альбома,а это была "Understanding" я прослушал ее большое количество раз,воодушевлению не было предела.Все ровным счетом, так как я и ожидал.И вот в череде ноябрьских праздников,мы можем насладится уже полноценным релизом.
Начинается альбом с достаточно бодрого трека "Goodnight",и сразу становится понятно что музыканты ничуть не изменили себе.Практически все песни очень хороши.В глаза бросается только одно,вокал Kyle Soto стал каким-то слишком зажатым и уже не дает такой атмосферности как на ранних записях.Временами вокальная партия начинает напоминать музыку в стиле гранж,особенно своей гнусавостью.
Интересно было бы узнать с чем это связано,но в принципе это никак не портит общую оценку альбома.Звучание группы стало немного мягче и чище.Аранжировки достаточно интересны,много интересных ходов.Но боюсь,что группа может заиграться с экспериментами,а этого очень бы не хотелось.
Альбом оставил очень цельное впечателение,проходных песен нет,все они идеально перетекают друг из друга,единственная песня,которая не понравилась - "Honey Bee"как мне показалось,это достаточно скучная акустика.

Рекомендую это альбом не только фанатам подобной музыки,но и всем тем кто хочет погрузиться в пучину ярких чувств и переживаний.Альбом недаром носит название "Winter Forever",у него безусловно именно такое настроение.Долгими зимними вечерами,эта музыка как раз то,что нужно.

Review.Seahaven - Winter Forever (2011)
Autumn is an excellent season, after all. Besides impressive weather, this is also a season famous for its blizzard of new releases that it blows in the direction of music lovers. And those are long-awaited ones, for sure! I, being a big fan of bands signed to “Run For Cover”, have, of course, attentively followed and waited for news about my favorite artists. So, when the first song off the new album came out – it was “Understanding” - I listened to it over and over again. I was pretty excited, the sound was exactly what I had been anticipating! And now we can listen to the album in its entirety.
I must say that I really liked the album. The band stays true to its roots, it's the same old emo/indie/punk outfit... can't really define the genre in which it plays, but let's leave that job to the web blabbermouths.
The album begins with a pretty vigorous track called “Goodnight” and, hearing it, you realize that the band members stay true to their roots. Almost all songs are pretty damn good. You'll immediately notice one thing – Kyle Soto's vocals sound pretty uptight and don't provide as much mood as they did on the previous albums. Sometimes they remind grunge vocals because of the distinctive twang. I wonder what's the reason for this. Anyway, it doesn't spoil the overall impression of the album. The sound got a little bit cleaner and softer. The song structures are pretty interesting, but I'm afraid that the band might get into way too much experimenting and that is highly undesirable.
This LP is a solid effort without filler songs. They all smoothly flow one into another, the only song that I actually didn't enjoy is “Honey Bee” - it sounds like a boring acoustic track to me.

I would recommend this LP not only to fans of such music, but to all people who want to dive in the deep of emotions and feelings. It has been named “Winter Forever” for a reason – it has the exact mood and is perfect for listening to it on long winter nights.
